Our tomato-based sauce is slow-simmered in small kettles to coax out depth from pineapple, jalapeños and horseradish, creating a sweetly spicy complement to seafood, pasta and rice
Shrimp Pairings: Use as a simmering sauce or condiment for shrimp, and serve with a crisp spinach and bacon salad. Toss the sauce with al dente pasta and stir in seared shrimp for a quick, delicious supper. Serve the sauce and shrimp over jasmine rice, farro, or quinoa to create a Mediterranean-style grain bowl, adding grilled vegetables, olives, and crumbled feta to round out the meal. Serve the sauce as a warm dip with shrimp skewers or crostini, or spoon it onto bruschetta as a base for a tapas-style seafood plate.
Baked or Stuffed Dishes: Use the sauce as a flavorful base for baked seafood dishes. Pour it over shrimp, scallops, or white fish in a baking dish and finish in the oven. Alternatively, mix it into a stuffing for bell peppers or tomatoes along with shrimp, rice, and herbs, then bake until bubbling.
Bake into Fish Cakes: Our Gulf Coast Shrimp Sauce brings a lovely tomato-ey kick to salmon or cod cakes – mix tinned fish with mashed potato, sauce and egg and bake in a oiled muffin pan.
